The deadline for registration for the 2021 session of Cameroon GCE has been extended. GCE Registration 2021 latest date has been extended to the 15th of February 2021 by the minister of secondary education, professor Nalova Lyonga.

The registration for the GCE 2021 session examination was normally supposed to end on the 15th of January 2021 but was extended due to some difficulties including COVID-19 pandemic and issues in the restive North West and South West Region.

All those who had not yet register for the GCE 2021 session of examination has reasons to celebrate and no need to panic as the deadline for registration is expended on till the 15th of February 2021, Go on and do your registration.


The minister of secondary education hereby informs the public, especially potential candidates, that the closing date for registration of examinations organized by the General Certificate of Education GCE Board for the 2021 session has been exceptionally extended as follows;

  • Deadline for the registration of candidates: Monday 15th February 2021.
  • Deadline for reception of materials at the GCE Board Head Office, Buea: Friday 26th February 2021.

The public is also hereby notified that during this extension period, the registration centers are strictly forbidden from collecting late entry fees from candidates or parents.

Registration for GCE June 2021 examination has been launched this day 19th of November 2020 and will end on the 15th of January 2021.

Amongst the few new changes is the fact that from this session, the written session shall run for two weeks as opposed to the previous editions.

Candidates can now begin their registration to sit for the various levels of examinations. This can be done both offline and online.

The different exams include GCE Advanced Level, GCE Ordinary Level, GCE ATC and GCE ITC.

The general timetable for the examination has already been made available and students shall be given a copy upon registration. An individual timetable shall also be issued to candidate.

Cameroon General Certificate of Education Examination registration commonly called GCE registration is currently going on. The deadline for GCE Registration 2021 Cameroon General and Technical Examinations fixed on the 15th of January might be extended.

The GCE Registration 2021 Cameroon General and Technical Examinations deadline has be extended to the 31st of January 2020 thereby making it the latest date for student to submit their files and payment for the GCE June 2020 examination registration.

Message from the registrar on the GCE 2021 registration

The registrar of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board (GCEB) hereby announces that the registration period for the June 2021 session of all the GCE Board examinations have been opened from Thursday the 19th of November 2020 and shall run till the 15th of January 2021..

Consequently, registration documents should reach the GCE Board latest Friday 17th of January 2021.

Chief of registration centers, liaison officers, parents and prospective candidates should take note.

The Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board abbreviated as CGCEB organize a GCE examination online registration 2021 to help reduce the crowdedness at normal registration centers and also to enable external candidates register for the examination smoothly.

The GCE Online Registration 2021 Cameroon General and Technical Examinations is in three faces which includes entering of information on the online software (always made available by the GCE Board within the period of registration), Payment of the registration and subject fees using an Mobile Money Service and submission of registration files.

Candidates are expected to have read all instructions with respect to the eligibility (Who is qualify for the GCE examination online registration) and the procedure to be followed in order to do the Online Registration correctly.

As for the GCE June 2021 session of the examination, the registration is currently going on and scheduled to end on the 15th of January 2020. Though many are hoping for and extension to the registration deadline to enable more people able to register.

We shall make available all necessary updating information here as soon as the GCE Board puts up anything new with regards the registration of the GCE examination registration.

The examination is normally at two levels which includes GCE Ordinary level normally written at form five and GCE Advanced Level normally written at Upper Sixth. Note that the GCE has both GCE Technical (for technical school candidates) and GCE General (for general education candidates).

Candidates who wish to sit in for the exam are always advise to put in their possible best to see into it that they register within the time frame put by the GCE Board. This is because it is no longer as it was in those manual days where the principal could always try to help late comers and the go to beg the Board on their behalf, today the system is an automated programmed one and once it is the closing date, it automatically stops to operate.

GCE registration fee 2021

Registration Fee: A fixed registration is being paid with respect to the level of the examination to be registered. Candidates Registering for the GCE Ordinary Level pays a registration fee of 8 000 FCFA while GCE Advanced Level candidates pay 9 000 FCFA.

Fees per subject: The fee per subject also varies with respect to the Level of the examination. GCE Ordinary Level candidates pays 1 000 FCFA per subject while GCE Advanced Level candidates pay 2 000 FCFA per subject.

Practical Fees: Any candidate registering a subject having a practical session shall pay an extra fee of 5 000 FCFA per practical session for both GCE Ordinary and GCE Advanced Level.

NB: Ordinary level candidates are expected to register for at least four subject which must includes English, French and Mathematics. Advance Level candidates must register for at least two subjects.
